A nightly projection mapping display at the Tokyo metropolitan government headquarters has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the largest in the world.

The projection mapping displays have run from February 25 on one of the two towers that host its headquarters. Shows commence nightly from 7 p.m. and are displayed at half-hour intervals, lasting around 10 to 15 minutes each. Different displays will be projected on weekends and public holidays.

The year-round shows have been recognised as the world's largest , with images projected against the eastern facade of the complex's 48-storey main building, spanning an area measuring approximately 127 metres in height and 110 metres in width, extending 14,000 square metres in total from the building’s fourth to 32nd floors.
