Saudi Arabia to build a soccer stadium 350 metres high in Neom
As part of its bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, Saudi Arabia has announced plans for building 11 new stadiums, including a 46,000-seat venue inside The Line, which is in the country's planned horizontal megacity called Neom.
The stadium is set to act as the "centerpiece" of The Line skyscrapers and will be located 350 metres above ground, according to the 2034 bid that has been submitted.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federatin has called it "the most unique stadium in the world" featuring vistas and a "roof created from the city itself," according to the bid book.
Saudi Arabia hasn't been confirmed for as the hosts officially, but is the only country bidding, so the bidding process is regarded as a mere formality.
