Ras Al Khaimah Sets New NYE Records with Spectacular Show
In a dazzling display of lights and pyrotechnics, Ras Al Khaimah shattered world records with its New Year's Eve extravaganza. The UAE emirate achieved a new milestone with a mesmerising formation of 1,050 LED drones, creating the longest straight line ever recorded, extending over 2km. This technological marvel was complemented by an unprecedented 5.8km chain of aquatic fireworks, illuminating the coastline from Al Majan Island to Al Hamra Village.
This Middle East event, lasting eight minutes, turned the waterfront into a canvas of vibrant colours and lights, drawing in a crowd of over 50,000 spectators. The night sky was further brought to life with acrobatic pyro planes, painting the atmosphere with designs that paid homage to the natural beauty of Ras Al Khaimah's deserts, seas, and mountains, all synchronised to a score of original music.
Raki Phillips, the chief executive of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, reflected on the event's monumental success, stating, "Breaking two more Guinness World Records titles set the stage for an unforgettable night of celebration, uniting thousands of visitors and residents." This New Year's Eve, Ras Al Khaimah didn't just welcome a new year; it celebrated innovation, community, and the enduring spirit of breaking barriers.
