Meta to enter education space with new metaverse product

Meta aims to enter the education market with a new metaverse-centric product launch.
 

The unnamed technology will allow teachers to program and manage multiple student headsets at once, offering access to education apps on Meta Quest devices.

The offering will likely be a subscription service such as Quest for Business, enabling businesses to manage a group of headsets for office work.

Nick Clegg, president, global affairs, Meta, commented: “Metaverse technologies have the potential to transform education. It’s happening right now, but to realize the potential in the years ahead will require educators and policymakers to grasp the opportunities these technologies present.”
