Disney drone show sets world record
Using a total of 1,571 drones in the night skies over Paris, creating a giant tricolour of Mickey Mouse’s head over the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle.
Disneyland Paris worked closely with its technology provider, Dronisos, using a grand total of 1,630 drones (including pyro-drones), to illuminate the Paris sky throughout the entire performance, combining pyrotechnics, lights, and drone choreography.
Onlookers watched a 12-minute nighttime show through five creative scenes, representing Disney classic stories inspired by France, including symbols such as the Eifel Tower, the rose window of Notre Dame Cathedral, and scenes from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios.
Matthieu Robin, entertainment creative lead, Disneyland Paris, commented: “It’s a testament to the creativity, innovation, and hard work of our entire team. This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests”.
