Research commissioned by Vizrt has identified that 40% of hybrid workers believe that poor video communications have the potential to weaken a company’s reputation, with a proportion of employees feeling let down by videoconferencing experiences.

Of the employees surveyed, 70% feel that the quality of communications from their company affect how engaged they are as an employee, with this effect magnified for multinational organisations.

Nearly half (49%) of employees surveyed agreed that good quality video communication has a positive impact on their motivation, with 67% of respondents agreeing that town halls or live streams are more effective than other methods of helping employees feel more aligned with a company’s vision.

Chirs Black, global head of brand and communications, Vizrt, commented: “Hybrid working isn’t going anywhere. Coupled with the growing need for global companies to be more efficient, reduce costs, and be more sustainable, video offers a viable solution. In this remote era, companies must engage and motivate employees no matter where they are based and quality in-house video production is proven to work.”
